Walking on the moon (a morning on Haleakala)

So, was waking up at 2:30 am for a drive to a dormant volcano worth it? It was about zero degrees C, it took two hours to get there, but it was priceless. Had to get there for the official blessing of the day. Again, these are unprocessed but you get the idea. As with all the images, click on the picture for a larger size.

Cinder cones at sunrise.... Another planet, non?

(Un)earthly apparitions....

They must have filmed 2001, Planet of the Apes and other sci fi movies here!
